Waves of Adrenaline: Music

My Lucky Stars

What happens when two optimists write a blues tune...

My Lucky Stars

Takes me all day to count My Lucky Stars.

Started at the bottom, but I made it to the stairs

Started out a cue ball, but I grew a little hair

Never did grow very tall, but that’s all right

There’s a lot of pluses to being slight!

Can’t afford a car wash, but I think it’s gonna rain

Just ran out of ketchup, but I like my burgers plain

You can listen all day long – you won’t hear me complain

Don’t know all the verses, but I’m good with the refrain.

My Lucky Stars

Yah, it takes me all day to count My Lucky Stars.

Started in the suburbs, then I found my way downtown

Fell into a river but I managed not to drown

Tripped over the secret – it’s going with the flow

If you’re fighting upstream you’re going slow.

Took the train last Friday but I slept right through my stop

Found an awesome fountain and a great new coffee shop

Magic doesn’t happen when you’re sticking to a plan

You can’t enjoy the fire when you are in the frying pan!

My Lucky Stars

Takes me all day to count My Lucky Stars.

For someone in their fifties, I’d say I’m in the pink

If I were the Titanic, I’d manage not to sink

Don’t tell me that my wallet’s flat – accounts are in arrears

As long as we’ve got songs to sing, that’s music to my ears!

My Lucky Stars

Yah, it takes me all day to count My Lucky Stars.
